Univision
planned to cover Donald Trump's Miami campaign rally Friday night at
the Trump National Doral hotel, next to Univision's studios. But Team
Trump had other ideas.
Jorge Ramos, the Spanish-language broadcaster's most famous face, tweeted before Trump's rally that Univision wasn't allowed in.
Hope
Hicks, a Trump spokeswoman, told the Miami Herald in an email that the
network wasn't granted access because Trump is suing Univision over
breach of contract. The
network decided against airing Trump's Miss Universe pageant after
Trump referred to some Mexican immigrants as criminals.
"Mr. Trump is suing Univision for $500 million and until that is resolved it is a conflict of interest," Hicks said.
Ramos was briefly kicked out of a Trump news conference in Iowa in August.
