Donald Trump has said he would get more Hispanic votes than Democrats, despite his comments on undocumented workers.
On Wednesday, Trump doubled down on his aggressive immigration strategy in an interview with CNN’s Dana Bash.
If
elected president, he said, he would have all undocumented immigrants
in the U.S. deported, and then allow the “good ones” to reenter the
country via an “expedited
process.”
“We got to move ’em out, we’re going to move ’em back in if they’re really good people,” the real estate mogul said.
To
date, Trump has declined requests by Fusion’s Jorge Ramos for
interviews. So there has been no opportunity to press him about how
exactly his plan would work.
So
in a series of Tweets Thursday, Ramos explained why the strategy Trump
is laying out would cost him votes not only among Hispanics, but likely
result in his losing
the election itself.
