Lopez v. Garland - filed Sept. 11, 2024

Immigration Law The Board of Immigration Appeals’ determination that a theft offense constitutes a crime involving moral turpitude if it includes an intent to deprive either permanently or under circumstances where the owner’s property rights are substantially eroded is entitled to due respect but not binding deference. The lack of availability of a pardon for a conviction does not render the conviction an improper basis for removal. Lopez v.
