A party cannot maintain a federal equitable estoppel claim against a trust fund where recovery on the claim would contradict written ERISA plan provision; the actuarial soundness of pension funds is, absent extraordinary circumstances, too important to permit trustees to obligate the fund to pay pensions to persons not entitled to them under the express terms of the pension plan whether those persons be plaintiffs or defendants.
