A rideshare driver substantially deviated from any duties he
performed for his employer at the time of a car accident where he had done no
work for his employer on the day of the accident and he had no intention of
doing so; there is no basis to impose vicarious liability where the employee’s
entire trip serves only his own personal purposes.
