Martinez-Rodriguez v. Giles - filed April 18, 2022

An employer’s conduct violated the provisions of Chapter 77 of Title 18 of the U.S. Code that prohibit forced labor and trafficking of persons into forced labor where the employer admitted that the plaintiffs believed that their ability to remain lawfully in the U.S. depended on their continued employment and the plaintiffs alleged they were recruited to work under the TN Visa program for professional employees established under the North American Free Trade Agreement but were forced to work as general laborers.
