Dolores K. Boda Appointed Special Advisor to the General Counsel

General Counsel Peter B. Robb has appointed Dolores K. Boda as Special Advisor to the General Counsel of the National Labor Relations Board. Prior to her appointment, an NLRB employee for over 20 years, Ms. Boda served as Deputy to the Assistant General Counsel in the Division of Operations-Management. Ms. Boda also recently served temporarily in the Office of the General Counsel as the Acting Associate to the General Counsel.

Ms. Boda began her career with the Agency in 1999 as a Labor Management Relations Examiner in the Agency’s Region 8, Cleveland, Ohio Regional Office. Ms. Boda was promoted in 2010 to a Supervisory Field Examiner position in the Region 16, Fort Worth, TX office and in 2014 Ms. Boda came to Headquarters after being promoted to the position of Deputy to the Assistant General Counsel.

Before joining the NLRB, Ms. Boda worked in the private industry in various management positions including a work assignment in Ireland, during which she assisted in negotiating employment contracts for an international company.

General Counsel Robb remarks: “Ms. Boda is an exceptionally bright and talented individual who brings a wealth of Agency experience, an infectious energy and remarkable insight to her new role. We are very fortunate to have her serve as Special Advisor to the General Counsel.”
Ms. Boda received a B.A. in English Literature from Wright State University and an M.A.in Labor Relations and Human Resources from Cleveland State University.

The Office of the General Counsel is independent from the Board and is responsible for the investigation and prosecution of unfair labor practice cases and for the general supervision of the NLRB field offices in the processing of cases.

Established in 1935, the National Labor Relations Board is an independent federal agency that protects employees, employers, and unions from unfair labor practices and protects the right of private sector employees to join together, with or without a union, to improve wages, benefits and working conditions. The NLRB conducts hundreds of workplace elections and investigates thousands of unfair labor practice charges each year.
