It’s likely the U.S. Supreme Court will rule this summer on the legality of DACA, which stands for Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals.
The federal immigration policy allows some students whose parents brought them here illegally to temporarily halt deportation while providing them a work permit.
But working their way through the Georgia General Assembly are a few different measures that would further add to the federal provision.
Eric Stirgus, a reporter with the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, spoke about the three different, but similar proposals.
