Iowans speak out on immigration: ‘Don’t let fear run this country’

Fusion’s #DearNextPresident team is bringing you messages from young, diverse Iowans all this week, ahead of Monday’s Brown & Black Presidential Forum. And these Iowans want the next president to look at and talk to actual immigrants — and listen to them, too. Watch the video above to see their powerful messages.

Join us live on Jan. 11 at 8 p.m. ET as Fusion hosts the 2016 Brown & Black Democratic Presidential Forum from Drake University in Des Moines. The forum will focus on where the candidates stand on issues that matter most to America’s growing multicultural population. Tune in to Fusion’s cable network, or watch the livestream on Fusion.net, Facebook, and YouTube. And download the Fusion app and join the conversation during the forum. Available on iOS and Android.

You can add your voice to our #DearNextPresident project, too. Fusion is asking young people around the country to talk about their most pressing issues this election season using the phrase “Dear next president … ” You can learn more about the project, hear more voices from the campaign, and learn how to contribute your own video to #DearNextPresident.
